When you say illegal, it should be underarm ball, now. Formerly, it was allowed and that was how Greg Chappell asked his younger brother Trevor Chappell to bowl it to deny a last ball win to New Zealand in an one-dayer in Australia, long ago. After he resorted to that nasty trick, it is no more allowed in Cricket.
The second illegal ball would be to bowl the immediate next ball after bowler has just completed an over.

1) A No Ball - When the bowler's 1st feet is out of the popping-crease.
2) Wide Ball - When the bowler bowls a delivery too wide of either off-stump or leg-stump that a batsman cannot reach.
