since I reached level 5 and now I have no limits for Q's and answers I don't care, but before that it was very annoying.

I haven't been satisfied with any level I'm at. I always want to go higher. I would like to get a top contributor tag, but I answer mostly for my own amusement (I do try to give meaningful answers, too).
So, on some pathetic level, yes, I do care what level I'm on.

they used to give away 'top contributor' badges like cookies, so that's not a motivator for most of us...
points don't matter either, it's really just a way to keep track of people, just like the 'member since' date on the profile page...

I haven't even gotten to level 6... And I've been on here longer than most people!

I would like to be tops.
I feel that I can unseat Judas Rabbi in another six months.
Solnascente2007 is going to be much, much harder and, potentially, impossible, with the massive lead

I only write from the heart. If I can offer someone something that resolves their problem, that is reward enough. I can only be intrinsically motivated.
