By the way, Fruits Basket and Wolf's Rain are good, isn't it? I love them too. I want to recommend Fullmetal Alchemist and Elfen Lied too but since you did specifically mentioned only 'high school type'....well, these two are very similar to Wolf's Rain in the sense that they have a very sad storyline. Oh, Blood+, Hellsing and Trinity Blood are good anime too.

Quran high school host club....(cute and funny anime revolving a girl who are forced to be a guy in her school....)
alice academy...a school with special power .. mikan enter the school in order to be with her best friend
if ur into magic, u mite wana watch magikano and zero no tsukaima....
if u like fighting, u can watch shakugan no shana...... it is very nice....zombie loan is also not bad....(ya,it is about zombie.....)
magical girl lyrical nanoha also win my votes.....there is 2 sequences.....
other than these, u can watch he is my master.... it is a story about 2 sis leaving their home and ended up working as maid at a otaku house......
hope u found one that u will like.... coz all the above is my favourites one...

I would recommend Girl from hell/Jigoku Shoujo if you are into weird happenings/horror. Or maybe Fate Stay Night, Gakuen Alice, Ouran highschool and the such.
