When we became independent in 1947, we were not only independent from British oppression, but also Muslim oppression. Indians forget that before we were exploited by the British, we were being exploited by the Muslims, who according to me are just as foreign as British are.

Thr truth is that before India was independent in 1947, we hadn't been indpendent untill before the Delhi sultanate was established in 7th century.

So why do we only celebrate one independence day from british rule. Why don't we celebrate a second indepndence day to celebrate our independence from the muslim mughals, who were far more monstrous than the British

India should not celebrate the second independence day because indians were not opressed by the muslims it was the other war around. Before 1947 the muslims and indians were living in peace but when the british came the indians sided with them and thus both the british began opressing the muslims. So when on 14 August 1947 muslims gained independence the indian prime minister tried all kinds of tricks so that all muslims would be killed. Many militants also helped but this could not prevail and muslims got their independence. But the most astonishing thing was that the muslims did not even fight and still many of them gained independence from the oppression of the british and the indians. So the conclusion is thus that india should not celebrate another independence day.

Independance Day?? Are we still Independent?? Are we Indians not being ruled by the Gandhi Dynasty? Are we not being ruled by the Prime Minister and the President who are puppets of an Italian power? - Like those puppet kings and the self govt Britishers had created before scooting!!

No matter what the congress tries to impress Sonia is an Italian who sought refuge during the 70's war never took up an Indian citizenship until her hubby began to get into politics. Even today if she has taken a citizenship she still hold her Italian Passport. And who benifited of Bofors scandel??

Guess the Brits today must be feeling ashamed that even after squandering and looting India totally, today India economically has beaten them.

Proof of the stolen material can be found even today in their queens crown!! Bloody Pirates they were!! Smitten by infiriority complexes many Brits today look down at Indians and at times call treat Indians as dogs!!

History has proved time and again who has shown the charecter of dogs!!

India should celebrate a second independence day the moment this dynasty in power is overthrown and the curropt power hungry ministers are terminated/erased.

Going by your logic, we have not yet gained independence from Muslims. Almost 20% of the Indian population is Muslim. And at the rate at which they are growing, they will be a majority in the next few decades.

And the unfortunate thing is that a a substantial chunk of the so-called Indian muslims do not even consider themselves Indian. They destroy shops, vehicles, infra structure in India when a Danish guy made a cartoon of their prophet or when Saddam was executed and create such a big controversy when they have to sing Vande-Mataram.

We have a long ways to go before we get total independence :-)

no, when the muslims attackers came there was no such COUNTRY as INDIA. this subcontinet was devided in small kingdoms.
It was only during the reign of Mughal Kings that the small states/kingdoms started conslidating into one country. and the process continued during the time of Britishers also.

U are tallking about 7th century. Was there a country called India at that time ( consolidated/united )so, where is the question of second indepence day.
