i have recently fitted a dedicated sound card to replace the onboard sound however when i try to installl the cards applications(control panel) the card reinstalls the drivers and then windows wont boot(strange!)
is there any universal sound control panels that will work with any sound card so i can change various settings
then again what do you expect for a £7 6 channel pci sound card by c-media,i think i will invest in a soundblaster audigy for around £20
any ideas guys ?

Good Day.... Did you disable your integrated sound card on your BIOS......It will produced conflict if you not.....if you disable your sound card then try to reseat your sound card...maybe it is not seated properly.... I have also an experience with this 6 channel sound card....I have bought a defective sound card and it took me about 3 times to change it before I can get 1 working....

Try disabling all your startups before you install the soundcard's application. You can disable them by running msconfig, then enable them later.

you should just stick with your onboard sound as cmedia APU's are actually lesser in quality then most integrated codecs
