Alomar was the best 2nd baseman in baseball during the 90's and he put up some of the best numbers this side of Hornsby, Sandberg and Morgan. I feel his little spitting incident will cost him maybe a time or two when it comes election tiime..but he will get in. Bagwell will get in later, because besides being a gold glove first sacker he won an MVP ( though few noticed in the strike year) and having almost 450 dingers for a career, he did it in Houston with little fanfare. but the fact he did it with one club will help, and maybe with alittle help from Craig Biggio, whihc is a surre fire HOFamer, it will keep him in the voting race..it would be poetic justice if they could go in together

Yes and yes.

Among the very best at their positions in their time, and both stand well among their peers throughout history.

To my eye the biggest question about Alomar is which team logo will be on his plaque cap -- I'm guessing Toronto. Bagwell doesn't have that issue (though which specific Houston logo could be debated; I'd prefer the shooting star).

Tough question, Roberto is not exactly the popular choice at least not with the Umpires, but he was arguably one of the best 2nd baseman ever. And Bags is the power in the killer B's, and if he could have kept his wrists away from the strike zone for all these years he may still be playing

Alomar had much better than borderline numbers. Check the stats before saying something stupid like that.

Bagwell was heart and soul of the stros', great #'s, he's in on the 2nd ballot. Alomar was a scumbag whose attitude keeps his vorderline #'s out of the hall.
