Just curious about FTMs?

Question

Is there such a thing as an FTM not getting her testosterone shots and just continue cross dressing? Also, when she ( or is it he?) grows old she (he?) will not really look male any more because the FTM has not gotten any t shots.

So is it possible for an FTM to live her life as male without getting any t shots?

First off, stick with "he." And, if you don't want to offend anyone, I wouldn't call it cross dressing, either.

Anyway, the short answer? Yes. Every ftm is different and will stop at different paths. That said, most probably do take testosterone. My trans friend takes testosterone, looks completely male and is way more masculine than me. He identified as male for a while before he started taking t, but that was only because there's a fairly lengthy process to be able to begin the regimen. I don't know what he'll look like when he's older, but he does have to continue taking testosterone for its effects to stay. I'm sure if he stopped, there may be some traits that couldn't completely change back - perhaps muscle tone, etc. - but, a ftm will typically continue taking the shots indefinately - at least, my friend does and will.

Yes, it's perfectly possible for a transman to live his entire life without ever having testosterone; until relatively recently, they all did.

Many transmen find that they reach a point where they don't need to take any more testosterone; if he's had his ovaries removed, there isn't sufficient oestrogen in his body to cause re-feminisation, and most of the effects of testosterone are permanent and irreversible in the absence of oestrogen.
An old transman will continue to look as male as he ever did, even if he stops taking testosterone altogether.

I know one and he does not get shots anymore. He went 'halfway' and is happy there.

I have no idea how he will age. (I say 'he' because that's what he wants to be called)
