1 - it might well be cook because of human greed
2 - various religious factions may well destroy it, because of greed.
3 - it may survive human greed and go on for a few million years until the sun gives out.

Which world? Let's be specific. The Western World? The Earth? The Christian/Judeo world? The 21st century? Why did you chose to say "this" world, instead of "the" world?
My own answer is who knows except that it will keep on going like the Energizer Bunny. The animal Homo has been nearly wiped off the earth many times for various reasons: ice ages, diseases, etc. yet he always comes back, sometimes in the form of a different Homo.
If the current Homo sapiens sapiens dies, another Homo will take its place.

Great things darlin because sooner or later God is going to have to come down and take over again. Because the stewardship He gave us is being abused repeatedly every second of the day all around the globe.
It's coming to the point where we will be at a point of no return in self destruction. Then He is going to step in and say "ENOUGH". After that? Well the world is going to be one fine place to live in. It is going to be sweet.
But the darkest hours are yet to come. Then the dawn.

According to physics in particular thermodynamics, the 2nd Law: the energy of the world is constant but the entropy of the world increases constantly to a maximum. Entropy is a measure of the disorder in the physical world so the world will cease in a completely disordered or random state. Since we humans are physical beings we too will proceed to a state of maximum disorder.
Its terrible to contemplate but that is one of God's laws, good luck, good health, peace and Love!
