I ran out of pills and won't be able to get more for 2 weeks. Is it very important that I use a condom during that time with my bf? What are the chances I can get pregnant?

People metabolize pills differently so there is no way to say for sure how long they will be in your system. If you don't want to get pregnant, then it is very important that you use condoms and also continue using them thru the first pack of pills as they may not be fully effective right away when you get back on them.

If you are on those regular package of daily pills, don't take any chances for those 2 weeks you don't have pills. You will get pregnant. Make your bf use a condom. And by chance he hasn't, go get one of those emergency one time pills you have to take within 48 hours. Those make you feel awfully nauseous. Better ask him to do his bit.

Of COURSE you need to use protection!

When you do not take pills you are NOT protected by the pills you ran out of!

You NEED to wear a condom, because it is a very high risk of pregnancy without birth control.

Talk to your doctor about being unable to get pills for two more weeks. He/she may suggest you wait until you get your period to start back up.

1 cycle would be 21 days and the next few days would be your period days, so any day after that 21 days is a risk, so do take other precautions such as ask ur mate to use condomn or don't do at all till you get the pills....
