With the cold weather coming up here in New England, I don't think his production will continue to be on the pace he is on now. I do think he will average about 2 td's a game though with a few more here and there. I say he gets 49. Eventually, once Maroney gets 100% and Morris comes back, Belichek will want to establish the run and get it into a good place. In the cold weather, you have to be effective in the running game and I am sure Belichek will focus on making this team a more balanced offense with both the run and passing game.

P.S. Good job Bag! People would rather mouth off imaginary stats and made up stories, than take the time and go look up the stats.

Remember that when Manning put up his 49 TD passes he stopped after he passed Marino. The Colts had clinched and didn't try to simply pad their stats. I think Manning had only 1 TD pass during the final 2 (maybe 3) games that season. Orginally I would have thought Brady and the Pat would do something similar. Brady gets to 50, Pats have clinched and pull back the reigns, now I am not so sure. I think he will break the record for sure, he might put up 60 TD passes, its hard to tell. I would think the TD passes will start to slow down in November and December but the Pats are simply not running the ball at all. They are content with passing almost exclusively. This has not been a traditional method to win super bowls. It will be interesting to see if their philosophy changes during the season and into the playoffs or if they just keep throwing.. if so, he might put up 70..

For starters, people who are saying the Patriots are not or dont run they are 8th in the league in rushing averaging 135 yards per game. Number 1, the steelers average 24 yards per game more. They can run, they actually do run but their passing game seems to kind of overshadow everything else. So their rushing game wont change much even when it gets colder, their passing game wont change much either. I think Tom Brady finishes with around 55 TD's this season. At some point he will have an average to poor game with maybe only 1 TD, and they do face some tougher defenses a little later in the year.

The Colts had clinched when manning stopped padding his stats, huh? I think this a bit revisionist and also ignorant of what happened after:

Game 14 - Manning and the Colts got manhandled by the Chargers. Manning threw 45 times that game.

Week 15 - He sat but threw 12 times. He wouldn't have sat if they were going for 16-0, otherwise he would have sat (at least by half time) in the San Diego game, they had already clinched home field before that game.

Week 16 - Manning throws twice and sits

Week 1 Playoffs - Steelers blow their doors off. It takes the worst call in NFL history & a fumble on the gol line form Jerome Bettis to get them back into the game.

Yeah sure, sit your guy if you want him rusty for the playoffs. Dungy learned that. Belichick isn't stupid. He won't make Dungy's mistakes.

At current pace would be 60 I believe, since he has 30 in 8 games. I tend to agree with those that say the teams he has yet to play will do a lot more focusing on such and rate will slow down. As it did near end of Peytons record breaking year. I believe it will be with in 1 or 2 either side of the record

i would say about 54. he will still break the record but when some bad weather games come up the 5 TD games will turn into 2 and 3 TD games and then we can find out whether this team can run the ball at all. (just for the record i hate the pasties and am not looking forward to him breaking any records)

I dont think he'll get the record, but it will be very close. Teams are going to start learning that this team is more one dimensional than they realize. Stop the pass, stop the Patriots. Sounds like something from Heroes.

But if Brady and the Pats insist on continuing their running up of the score, he could very well beat it. In comparison, you didn't see Manning throwing just to throw and to try and get the record.

I'd just double his total amount up to now, which is 30. I'd say 60 by the end of the season. With four inteceptions, since he has two right now.
