I was 16 (20 years ago) and saved my money to buy a 1980 Ford Pinto. My parents had the money but wanted to teach me responsibility and made me save and buy it myself. I'm glad I did because it taught me to work hard for things I wanted and that they wouldn't be handed over to me on a "silver platter,"

I bought a 1967 Plymouth Belvedere at 17. It was sweet. Truly a little old lady only drove it to church type car. Thanks to Dad and his auto repair business.
