I was just talking to someone about my best friend for ten years and why I consider him that way. I started wondering how many of us have had the same best friend (other than a spouse) for the last ten years. They are a treasure.

I have 3 Best Friends.... It sounds strange when I say "three best" but I could never ever place one them ahead or behind the other two...
Elaine has been my best friend since Kindergarden. . Michael and I have been together (as best friends )since 1975,
and Molly and I were best friends from 1973 until she died a little over 2 years ago...
It's funny... I never remember she's gone at times like these when I answer a question or somehow one's best friends come up in conversation...
With each we were "instant" best friends. Love at first sight happens after all, I guess. I never thought of it in just that way until now.
My life would have been very diferent without each of them.
I thank God every day for my friends.

that would be a great treasure to have but other than family I can't say that I have the same friends now that I did 10 years ago! I have a few buddies people that I talk to on the phone and go visit now and then! -but thats okay cause some of the friends that I had 10years ago were bad choices!

Yes they are a treasure. Most of my friends from ten years ago are still my dearest friends. A few have moved on and I rarely see or hear from them but they are still in my heart. I do not have many close friends but the ones I have are the best of the best. What I lack in quantity they make up in quality.

I have 2 foster brothers that have been my best friends for close to 20 years. They are the sons of my Godmother and we were good friends even before I went to live with them. We have been through so much together that I really can't imagine a world without them. Our adult lives have gone in very different directions, and we no longer even live in the same country, but we still stay in touch, emailing regularly and talking on the phone every week or two.

The majority of me "best" friends are people I work at beer festivals with, and as I've been doing that for well over 10 years a lot of them are the same.
Having said that, the ones right at the top of the list are people I have met inthe last 4 or 5 years

Very good Elsie. We also lost 'shame'. And the main causes of these maladies are, progressive teaching methods, left wing Governments and their supporters eg. much of the TV media, feminism, which spawned all the other isms.
