Huh?
There has been more than one movie made from the book "Of Mice and Men". The one I saw was in black and white. Is that the one you are asking about?

The title is a piece of an old poem by Robert Burns, "To A Mouse," that goes 'The best laid schemes o' mice an' men / Gang aft agley'.

Usually, the poem is modernized to read something like, "Of all the tales of mice and men, the saddest is - what might have been."

That's what Steinbeck had in mind. George and Lenny's big plan was to have a farm of their own, where Lenny could tend his rabbits, but their lives took another, tragic turn. In the end, their dreamed-of farm becomes "what might have been."

Two men go to work on a ranch, one who they would like to call simple minded but comes off to me as a little retarded and another who always has to make up for the simple minded one's mistakes. Well the simple minded one called Lennie is given permission to have one of the owner of the ranch's puppies. One day out of anger Lennie kills his puppy, soon after that the owner's son's wife comes in and he starts to speak to her of his fondness of soft things which leads to him breaking her neck out of fear. I don't want to give it all away, I feel that if anyone finds what I wrote interesting they can either read the book or watch the movie...either way it's very good and worth the time.

If you don't want to read the book or watch the movie but would like to know more here are a couple of sites that might be worth looking at.
