Leopard is a little less obnoxious then vista when it comes to program permissions, in all honesty though I can't honestly think of one thing a Mac can do that a PC can't, so I can't say that the price is justified, a lot of the problems with PC are due to the fact that all of the Mac OS's don't support the applications that crash, I agree that Vista is buggy and a huge resource hog but so is Itunes and Quicktime, I imagine most people will try to stay with XP as long as possible until Microsoft works out all the problems with Vista but all of the problems people bash PC's with are very rare, I have personally run this machine non stop for over a month and haven't had a single problem. I think the big jump on Mac is really just bragging rights. Personally I prefer Ubuntu Linux but if I had to choose between xp and leapord or OSX I would choose xp any day.

I've been a Mac user since 1984 and I bought my fourth Mac this week. But it is no longer the computer for the rest of us. The first Macs were very user friendly but you were very limited in what you could do. Modern programs are packed with so many features that anyone has to take the time to study and practice the routines in order to take advantage of them. (It's both awesome and frustrating how you young people seem to operate all the programs almost intuitively.)

At the senior center I have to use a PC, and at my level of expertise, there is not much difference. The other old geezers and geezerettes do quite well on them. But I'll take my iMac any day.

1) Macs don't have an antivirus program unlike Windows and one day there will be hackers who will develop viruses for Macs. In fact there was a case in Hong Kong where worms were transfered through emails using Macs although Apple covered it all up to maintain their integrity.
2) Macs don't have the famous games like Windows have such as Halo 3 and more. Although Macs can run Windows Operating System, it comes to say that Macs will never beat Windows in gaming.
3) Macs are too expensive! Why go for a $2,000 (approx.) Macbook Pro when you could go for a $1,500 (approx.) Windows XP or Vista. With the extra money you could upgrade or add accessories.
4) Macs are too easy to use! It doesn't give the user that kind of touch Windows gives to their customers. In fact, people who use Windows have better handling and knowledge of a computer than those who use Macs.
5) Mac producers are becoming too cocky these times. They say that there operatings systems are the most advanced in the world. Whatever!

Too many features to mention here although this little video covers a few of them
http://www.apple.com/macosx/

The main areas would be in art, design, science/engineering and video editing and Apple hardware design.

An easy system to use is a well designed system - don't let any PC user tell you otherwise.

The other main ones would be that it comes bundled with iLife
http://www.apple.com/ilife/

Leopard runs XP or Vista on a Mac faster than they run on a PC.

It also has iWork08 which is compatible with MS Office but heaps better and cheaper

The other main one would be ease of use and plug and play with peripheral devices without needing to down load drivers off the net.

Go and check a Mac out for your self at an Apple store, these guys all thought they are a great idea

For the record if Vista is so great, why is Microsoft always trying to copy Apple?
