. . . seem to not be able to work it out and stay together forever. Why is that? Has anyone done just that and realized that it isn't working the 2nd time around? How long did it take for you to call it a final quits?

u can't work out the problems in a relationship by leaving and running away. usually the same problems that were in the relationship are still there unless they have been worked out before taking them back.

because when they separate they already have problems, and are heading for a divorce.....when they get back together and none of them change anything then they start the same cycle all over again....most couple who separate often usually end up divorce unless one of them change

It does work out sometimes. Changes have to be made and if both are willing it can work.
