i just saw a video from when he was black that was before my time or around there, and started thinking. when i first saw him on tv he was white, wasnt till years later i found out he was black.. as f***ed up as he is he did contribute alot to music

Michael Jackson has a skin disease called vitiligo. It creates blotchy patches on the skin where no pigment is present. At first, Michael used dark makeup to cover up the white patches, but as the disease progressed it encompased more of his body and if he would have used the dark makeup his entire body would be covered in it and so he made the transfer from dark to light. There are many pictures to prove it, and people need to understand this. To anyone with this disease it is very hard to deal with. For Michael's sake, it has to be extremely hard dealing with it and being told that he is not proud of his race either. I think people need to respect that he has a disease and it cannot be helped.

I heard he had some kind of skin disease and had the pigment bleached out of his skin to turn white. I don't really know. Never really thought much about it. I know one thing, he shoulda left his nose and cheeks alone! lol He now looks like something of Planet of the Apes

janet jackson's his sister. as for how he turned white, he had plastic surgery done on his face and nose. it didnt turn out right, and he kept trying to go back to perfect it, but it did more damage than good. and it got to the point where they couldnt do anymore plastic surgery on him as he had contracted a rare skin disease. that all they could do to give him what he demanded of them is bleach his entire body. as for his reasons behind getting plastic surgery, it is unknown, but i've heard that a lot of the reason why he changed his look in the first place is because he didnt like the abuse he got from his father while he was growing up and that when he looked at himself in the mirror, all he could see was the image of his father, and so he wouldnt in any way look like his father, he changed his appearance. basically, he was ashamed to look like his father

there is no such thing as a "white" person - not even MJ.
He was, and still is, of African descent. I believe he used some type of cosmetic prcedure to lighten his skin. He also did a pretty good job destroying his nose.

because he got vitiligo. which is a skin disorder that makes you lose pigment in you skin. and it leaves you with lighter colored blotches all over you body. and so he got the skin on his entire body "bleached" so that he wouldn't have blotches all over his face and body. and it turned him white.
