I am one of those people who can remember things from 20 years ago like it was only yesterday, but I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday.

In all honesty I do have a good memory. But at age 47 you begin to slip a little now and then. Important issues I rarely forget but those small extra items on a grocery list. I've always been one to make a list of to do's for the next day anyway so I make sure I accomplish as much as possible. Good question, you deserve a star and I gave you one.

I tend to forget important things and remember the non important things. I am the queen of little known facts that nobody really cares about. Like did you know that "screeched" is the longest one syllable word in the English language? Thats something you always wanted to know I bet.

i used to have a great memory. i could remember a conversation word for word.
over the last 2-3 years, my short term memory has gotten so bad i think it's frightening.

of course I do... and I don 't think that with a really good memory... poeple won't forget it especially depending on what it is... It just has to be really important to them.

I have a good selective memory.

My mom gave me the house key, telling me to keep it safe. Two minutes later she asked me where it was and my response was, "What key? You didn't give me any key..."

I remember my second grade self, telling myself to not forget that in fifteen minutes I'm going to forget telling myself to not forget about my previous fifteen minute self. I feel dizzy now...

Yes and No, I forget important things but for tests in uni in english they tell you to memorise 40 words and I memorise all of them in one week
