Do not put yourself down. There has been teazing and being rude since your are married. But doesn't your husband knows that your are a different cast before married. What makes him to change out of sudden?

Just concentrate on other interesting things. Bear in you mind we can change this people instead change you self. Just don't bother. But don't let your them to influence your children as well. Guide your kids on this. World is changing, people is rushing to new vision. Extremely.

Teach your children cast is a superstitous.

I am sorry you feel disrespected by your in-laws family. I have to admit I am ignorant of Indian culture.

You might consider yoga, meditation, exercise, prayer, cooking, or reading for relaxation.

Perhaps there is a group of Indian women with whom you could share an activity and with whom you could talk to.

I feel for you and wish you the best. Good luck.

I wish I could help, but I am not very familiar with the culture and how people are classified, or what women's rights are there. In the US, you could divorce and have a life of your own if you were that unhappy.
