The price of milk has gone up over fifty per cent and no one is talking about it. Did I miss something? Do we have a shortage of cows? What's the story?

Having been a dairy farmer and seen how everyone gets cheap milk and yet the poor producer (farmer) gets a pittance of that. Milk for 50 years has been too cheap. These days with the power of the supermarkets the farmer gets less because they try and continually drive prices down.

Because of the rising price of Gas... It seems that More & MORE cropland is being devoted towards making bio-fuels to run our Cars... THIS is driving up the price of feed for Cows & Cattle- which in turn is driving up the price of Milk & Meat. With both Milk AND Gas at around $3. a Gallon, the higher Gas goes- so will Milk!!! So get USED to it. They're already talking about $4 Gas- by next Memorial Day... :0

Because the cost of corn to feed the cows has gone up sharply. Corn is being used to make Ethanol which when added to gasoline reduces horse power Greatly + reduces millage and that means burning more fuel to get where your going. The Government has America convinced that adding 10% Ethanol to your gasoline is better for the environment ,Its only better for the Oil companies ,cars that get lower mileage fill there tanks more often and they get to dilute the gas with 10% Ethanol that is paid for by you ,the tax payer. Not to mention the huge tax breaks they get to cover the cost of adding the free Ethanol. What a DEAL! For them.

Probably the same reason why oil is over $100 per barrel. If you pay attention at all to what is really going on with the world you'll see that our worst nightmare is just around the corner. Pretty soon, only those who have money will survive because the economy is going to skyrocket. Women will do anything to feed their hungry babies.
