If California falls into the Pacific, it may as well take Washington and Oregon with it.
Let's just hope nothing drastic like that will ever happen.

California won't be able to fall into the Pacific Ocean. The plates on the San Andreas fault are sliding by using one yet another. One is going south, at the same time as the different is going north. Earthquakes result while their action jams and rigidity accumulates. some plates have one going below yet another, e.g. India, yet even then, no land mass is going to fall into an ocean. this entire thought is fairly naive.

Well, I think it's a technicality really. The plates can shift and cause California to sink below sea level (some of Cali already is below that) but no it's not going to fall off.

Well, there's not a drop-off right off the coast which would be required for the fall.
Now, if California sat on the edge of a table, then you would see it fall.
I also don't believe a heat burn keeps burning till it's cooled with water, since we have fluids continuously flowing through our body with our heart. Acts like a radiator...
I also believe cold soapy water to wash our hands is just as good as warm soapy water. Warm water isn't hot enough to kill anything....

The San Andreas and other similar faults are side-slip faults, not up-and-down faults, so California will move north but won't drop into the Pacific.

California can't fall. It can sink, maybe. Or the water can rise.

some day it will become an island because it will break from the united states because of the earthquakes caused by the san andreas fault.
