I see it all the time on here... comments like
"if we didn't play by the rules (which means kill and torture everyone like Saddam did) we would already won"
isn't that the point... why we're there... to liberate the people so they don't have to go through that? If we did that too... wouldn't that be defeating the point?
and they seem litterally irritated that "liberals" won't let them go on genocidal killing sprees?
sorry we get in your way?

I'm much more ashamed of any American that wants to torture and kill Iraqis for the singular sake or order (which, if you actually READ what I'm saying, which some clearly didn't bother, is what I'm saying)... than pretty much anyone who's ashamed of me...

There is a great article in the Washington Post interviewing people who were on a torture detail. It talks about the living hell they have now. It's a good read if you're interested.

When exactly did they "liberate" Iraq?
Every Iraqi person I have talked to felt a lot safer under Saddam than they do now! I am NOT saying Saddam was a good guy, I'm just saying I'd rather live in a dictatorship than in civil war with no end in sight.
You're right about one thing though, without the Geneva convention, I think the war could have been over on America's part. Only problem is, every American tax dollar would have went to rebuilding what we bombed, and the rest of the tax dollars would have went to national security, cause we'd have no allies left in the world.

Pretty impressive non-question rant at first glance, but then the ridiculous statements come to the fore and spoil the whole thing ==> "when they seem to want to do the exact same things Saddam did" ==> "which means kill and torture everyone like Saddam did" ==>"they seem litterally irritated that "liberals" won't let them go on genocidal killing sprees"
People like you fascinate me. Are they born total morons or do they have to work at it?

I'm no longer devout, however I do have heavy sociological / anthropological heritage. If you believe the have to "worry" your God, then it is considering that you believe responsible for anything, otherwise you wish to believe victimized. Most individuals do not worry their God. They love their God. God is just like the perfect chief. As Machiavelli stated, a well chief ought to be each adored and feared. If he's simply adored, then folks will nonetheless do what they wish in opposition to his wants now and then. If he's simply feared, then they would possibly not love their possess lives, simplest doing what he needs out of worry of ramifications. If they love and worry him, then they are going to do what he needs out of affection and admire first, and out of worry moment. Let me attempt to use an extra analogy for God... God, in so much peoples' eyes, is sort of a well guardian. A well guardian makes use of two constituents love and a million side subject to make certain folks lead a well lifestyles. a million side love is unconditional. God loves you unconditionally, considering that you're his construction. (Just as a guardian loves their baby unconditionally). a million side love is for confident reinforcement. God indicates you like to gift your well habits. This is what so much individuals name "advantages", "miracles", and so on. Parents do the identical with them youngsters; supply them hugs once they be triumphant. a million side subject is used for terrible reinforcement. God punishes folks whilst they have got been dangerous. Parents do the identical to youngsters. Now, so much folks will comply with a Godly lifestyles with ease considering that they admire and love God as a result of a million side unconditional love, and a million side confident reinforcement. If that does not paintings then they worry the a million side subject. However, what is "blessing" and "punishment" from God is subjective. Different religions, or even contributors, would possibly see anything as a blessing even as others see it as a curse. Everyone can see something they wish into anything. When a mom hugs a baby, it is beautiful tangible that it is a hug. But, whilst a man or woman unearths $five at the avenue is that a blessing? What if it simply permits them to do anything dangerous? I consider the larger method to seem at God is that he offers folks possibilities. The $five is an possibility. How the man or woman chooses to make use of that possibility dictates whether or not it is a "blessing" or "curse".
