No, I'd call the cops. A very close friend of mine did just that (jumped in to help) and she was stabbed by a person on meth ... she died the next day, she was 22 years old.

No because that would be hypocrisy. Clearly, the bully wants to fight the person being picked on, not you. If you step in and challenge to fight the bully who doesn't want to fight you (by "stepping in") because of the fact that he wants to fight a person who does not want to fight him, then not only would this be ironic, it would also not make you any better, because now YOU are the bully. How does that remedy the situation?
Bullies feel helpless in their situation so they make other people feel helpless. If you come up to him on your moral high horse, I guarantee you he will bully other people to make up for what you did. You did not solve anything.

I tend to step in, and am usually successful at lightening the mood before it gets violent, but there are circumstances that I would avoid. Two weeks ago there was a party down the street from me where two people got shot, and one of them was simply trying to break up the fight. So you have to assess the type of person you're dealing with before jumping in just to save somebody else from a few bruises and maybe a broken bone.

That depends largely on how scared I am, and how i judge the outcome of a confrontation with the bully. I generally avoid putting myself in a situation where my life is at risk, even if it would help out a fellow humanoid. I also avoid situations where i would feel extreme pain or sustain damage that would hinder my functions as an efficient carbon based life form.

If the fight is between 2 guys then yes, I do. Because a girl can distract 2 guys fighting better than another guy.
If it is between 2 girls, I don't step in because one of them ends up crying and running off anyway.

Yes. Not like I would be that intimidating but I can't stand that. And I'm not afraid of anything. Have to admit I have never been in a fight, but I would step forward and have. Just no one has hit me. lol

It depends if you are stronger then the bully or not. If your not there is a big chance you will get hurt or something. But its your choice of you want to fight for your friend or get hurt.

Sometimes its nice for someone to have your back but honestly if you think they can take the guy let it be, chances are if the guy that's getting bullied beats the crap out of the bully he will earn respect he probably disserves that he may not of received had you not intervened.

yes. Nothing kills a good fun party like a drunken ****** bully.
Save the potential good times and step in quick so nobody will get hurt. Be the man. Call the cops if you have to.

yup, I may not be real big, but I love a good fight, and if it's a friend that is being picked on, you'd better call the ambulance, because one of us is gonna need it before the fights done
