Although I don't approve of what he said, it was a private conversation. I wonder how many of us could deal with our private conversations being released to the public.

Isn't it interesting that after turning one's life around and after years of doing good work, one wrong/misspoken word can turn a person's life upside-down.

(I was under the impression the show wasn't canceled, but put on hold pending the investigation by the network.)

Actually, A&E suspended the show until further information and findings are made available. His use of racial slurs was inapropriate and I am torn on his show being cancelled.

I was shocked to hear the news. It doesn't match who he protrays on air. I had know idea he used the N bomb freely as I had never heard him use it before. Perhaps when he did time in prison, it influenced him. I saw on a documetary of prison life that joining a gang is mandatory. Not sure of that but some might know more.

Either way, it was wrong of Dog to do that and I am disapointed. I guess we all make mistakes but it really depends if the viewers will forgive him as he has forgiven others???

No. It was supposed to be a private conversation. A&E has no right to punish him for speaking freely, however upsetting his comments may be. I'm sick of the fight over words like this...it's okay and acceptable when African-Americans use it, but anyone else does and it's a full-scale news blow up. Maybe if people of all kinds stopped being so sensitive about words, and realized that no matter how disturbing someone's comments may be, they are within their rights to make them, then everyone can move foward. I think what's sad here is not so much what he said or how he said it, but that a private phone conversation was taken and blasted purely for sensational purposes. Where has privacy gone? There's the tragedy.

i appreciate dogs the bounty hunter coach and this gained't placed me off staring at. Who precisely did this note offend (except Tuckers lady friend)? i latterly watched a Chris Rock coach or maybe he admitted that there is a distinction between black human beings and ni#*#8s and he reported he did not like them! Does he get grief for this? No! that's a descriptive note of a range of human being no longer the race of someone. changed into there up roar at the same time as human beings were calling Britney Spears white trash? changed into that considered as a racist remark? No! in spite of the indisputable fact that it is an analogous aspect really. i'm overjoyed that the mild has now been shed about who offered the tape to the media and now it is as a lot about what Tucker has executed to his father. it is going to take time yet might want to blow over, i advise Mel Gibson remains allowed to make videos etc etc! In dogs we believe!

I think dog just used the wrong word - he shouldnt have used that word & I hope it doesn't get cancelled & is just suspended. Its 1 of A&E's top rated shows besides cris angel & If they cancel dog the bounty hunter it would be a huge mistake for ratings. I love the show & think it can overcome this. People blow things out of proportion.

No, it was a private conversation that someone taped and then it got out.

I think he was wrong to say any racial slurs. But, why did someone tape his private conversation?

I think He should just apologize like crazy and then people should just drop it. I don't think they should drop his show. I do get tired of their cussing on that show. It gets boring.

When a person works in the eye of the public, like actors I guess he should be held to a high standard. Dog really did a bad thing. For me its even worse because He says He is a Christian....A Christian has no business talking trash about anyone else.!!

I think they did act appropriately suspending the show until the backlash dies down. It was all a game of CYA...

Hey, we all say things in private that we are ashamed of on a daily basis. We laugh at that un-PC joke by the water cooler at work, or comment to our families about the pudgy woman on the TV gameshow. We are all afraid of what we do not understand. We are all human and we fear (for ourselves, for our children) and we dislike, and we avoid what makes us uncomfortable.

I do not use that word- I have served our predominately black community for 7 years and I hear it every day and refuse to let it slip from my mouth. Some black folks use it daily in reference to each other ("what's up-racial slur-) in an effort to "take its power away" or because "it's our word, now" and worst, because "who cares?". I refuse to allow racial slurs be uttered in my presence, regardless of the speakers’ skin color… But many of my co-workers do not have my self-restraint. I understand that it seeps into your vocabulary when you are surrounded by it. I understand that, when you only meet people at the worst moments in their lives, people can get nasty and hateful toward you. The nasty day-in/day-out makes you bitter. Then awful, hateful things spill out... even though you don't mean them, you just got weak.

I don't think that necessarily makes one "racist". Actions always speak louder than words, and Duane Chapman's actions have always been kind and charitable. I hope he turns to his faith to find a little more self-restraint for future tests. He seems truly remorseful... I hope everyone searches deep inside and finds a way to forgive.

And, if A&E does cancel his show... I hope he sues his son's pants off... Selling that phone call was nothing short of malicious little temper tantrum.

All I have to say about this. We sometimes put our foot in out own mouth by what we say without thinking. What he didn't want to happen happen anyway. So I wish no bad on anyone. We create our own consequences by what we say' and now he is suffering the consequences his mouth cause him, and didn't no one force him to say what he said. So deal with it. A&E cancellation of his show is his consequence he has to suffer. Next time think before you speak, or count the cost when you are ready to mouth off.

Yes, his racial slur in a private conversation shows his true nature and colors. The show is ridiculous and his attempted projected "Christian" image is a farce. GOODBYE TO ONE DISCOVERED HYPOCRITE!

What choice did they have? A&E has to think about future revenues and there is no way they could survive the heat of Dog's dumb-a$$ed remarks in this hyper-PC enviroment we have to live in. I really doubt he is a racist but let's face it -- when you become elevated to celebrity status you simply can't say sh*t like that to anyone!
