Hey I must have experienced the same earthquake you did on Tuesday :)
I was in that 2 story Target in Sunnyvale on the bottom floor - it really shook for about 15-20 seconds, where I was there was nothing safe to get under (I was by the esclator) Everyone seemed to be running to the door to get out of the building. It was crazy but I didn't want to leave because my son was upstairs.
When everything stopped shaking people started walking down the esclator but my son wasnt one of them. I tried to call him on his cell but the phones were not working.
The elevators were not working either. Security at first didn't want to let me go upstairs but I would not leave the store so this one lady went with me.
A lot of the stuff was off the shelves upstairs and the wine smelled really bad. People who work there were already cleaning up by the time I got there - I found my son all-right. He was playing games on the NintendoXbox360 over in electronics - he said he was scared during the shaking but when it stopped he saw the game was free so he decided to play - silly kid did not even realize they were evacuating the store LOL!

Wow I did'nt expirience that earthquake what for? nways yes when I waz 9 I experinced 2 "real" Earthquakes one waz 7.5 and that really but really got the hell out of me, it was Saturday, the date was January 13, 2001 I waz upstairs I remeber my daddy playing the Nintendo 64 then he looked at the window and he was like "holly **** an earthquake" and I waz like what? what the heack is an Earthquake? he just trow the control anywere and he grab my lil brother he was just 2 years old back in those days and he grab my hand we ran donwstairs and I rember my mommy yelling an earthquake an earthquake by that time I did knew what an Earthquake was. We ran out the house to the backyard, I had diz lil pool, u know like the ones u put air to it, and I remember the way the pool and the water moved and that wasent the most "scary" part there some **** I cant really really get out of my mind and is the fact that turn around and I saw the big o' walls that I tought there was no way to destroy them that just balanced like paper left to right an about over us, I think that was the longest minute of my life. That night was really hard to sleep we had many lil Earthquakes happend and it was scary.
My second Earthquake was exactly 1 month after that one, Febrary 13, 2001 it was normal Tuesday in school I was in my English class I stand up and then bommmmm the Earth moving really hard again I fell back we all ran outside I saw the lights over us and they were about to fall, that Earthquake was like 6.5 I think but I did'nt felt the second one as I felt the first one.
Gurl after an Earthquake there are many lil earthquakes, wow u dont know how many times I woke up at 3 in the morning scared like really scared with a new Earthquake, is just something I dont want to go over again is just something I dont want to live ever again.
Have a nice nite.

I was sleeping at the time, but I woke up and didnt know what it was until later that day.

I was in a really lame one in of all places Cleveland, OH. It was about a 3.0 but it felt like a truck hit our building. (The funny part was it was on the first day of the "Desert Storm War" in 1991 and we were watching as the first bombs were falling. people thought we were being bombed! and this was pre-9/11 times)

Yeah I've lived in California my whole life, so I'm used to earthquakes. When I was really little I used to be afraid of them, but now I'm so used to them that I barely even notice them anymore.

Yes, I think it was in 2000. It wasn't very big though, a glue stick fell off the table and rolled down our hallway.
