What process in our body produces carbon dioxide? How does exercise affect this process?

(I think Krebs Cycle but I'm not sure why)

The answer may be more general than that. It may just be "aerobic respiration". Carbon dioxide IS released during the Krebs cycle and also during the transition stage that happens between glycolysis and the Krebs cycle.

Exercise increases the rate of carbon dioxide production because exercise requires energy. Cellular respiration breaks down glucose to provide the energy to fuel exercise and other cell processes.

carbon is given off during the oxidation of glucose when pyruvate acid is oxidized and also during the krebs cycle
