I do believe you have to love first yourself. If you are blindly in love with somebody, the tendency is you're giving all what you've got. There are cases that he'll abuse or play with your feeling ...and when something's happened...he'll gonna leave you alone with heartaches. which you can hardly take it.
When you fall in love, don't give all your self and time to him. Must see to it he's worthy of your love. He gives regards to you - there's a mutual feeling and understanding. if not, you will be called a MARTYR in love!
Special case for a mother, however:
Mother is giving all herself to her husband and children - it's because they are the closest to her heart - they are hers!

I am honestly torn with this one. I used to believe 100% that you have to truly love yourself before you are even able to know what love is and be able tolove anyone else...but in all realityI guess I have changed my mind. I think you have to love yourself before you can love another person 100% in a relationship but I think that a lot of people I know truly love their family and kids yet at the same time hate themselves...so now I guess I just think it all depends on the person and the situatuon more.

I think it's cliche to say that you must love yourself before you can love somebody else. It may be true, but I don't really know. I've never NOT loved myself.
