I also think it's unethical for the government to print more money than it can back up with the federal reserve. Have a weak dollar and a nice day somehow!

It's not a bit unethical. It's how the banking system works. Don't you think it's unethical for the government to print money they don't have? I don't think you understand the concept of money. Try looking up some real economic articles rather than this random stuff from interest groups' websites.

I read your link and there's a kernel of truth to it. Yes, it is un-ethical for banks to lend money they don't have (if you do it, it's a "pyramid scheme"), but, they can do it legally.
Banks fail all the time and you and I end up paying for it.

Bankers get the money covered, if only on paper. they have a guarantor that agrees to cover them.
