Would you say it takes skill to post and answer questions? What skills/talents do you need?
hopefully this makes sense.

Art is defined as a product of human creativity. Some answers and questions are the products of creativity, and those Q's & A's, though very few & far between, would be art.
I would say it does not take skill to post and answer questions, so as for the question "what skills/talents do you need?" the answer is "none" for talents, and the ability to read, write, and type English, as well as have a basic understanding of computers and the internet.

Thats a real good question! Deserves a star for sure.
I think consistency really matters. Getting to know your contacts is only possible if they go online!
also, it takes patience dealing with some of the trolls of y!a

Yes. You could be like the YA philosopher, ask a bunch of questions that every one has an answer to, but no one knows who's right.

Sure. I think it can be seen as an art form. Anything can be an art. I think it takes skill to ask great questions and answer intriguingly.

i think so. it provides an escape from the real word, an artistic medium is a good description.
and, to post, it takes confidence, spontaneity, random knowledge and flair.
so, yes. =)
