I like it but the $$$$ Is really depressing. I can't afford to buy everyone I know something and that's the worst part for me.

I work retail so I dread all holidays. I think people go overboard with holidays anymore. Kids don't need a million new toys. A week after Christmas, they all end up in the closet anyways and forgotten about and summer rolls around and they're still paying for all the toys that are stuffed in there. I'm glad I don't waste my money on stupid things that people don't need anyways.

I know what you mean. From now on I'm going to start saving money for next years Christmas starting on New Years Eve. That way I know I'll have enough money for Christmas presents. Unless if I win the lottery but then again I won't know what to get everyone.

I agree with you, prices are crazy these days so I plan to buy just simple & affordable gifts for everyone I know. It's the thought that counts.

Materialism has gone too far in our country. Things given from the heart are much more meaningful to most people, but every year I find myself spending spending spending. Especially when it comes to my children. They are ROTTEN. Oh well. There is never a lack of overtime hours in the hospital.

Yes! I love the lights and decorations, but like you, I don't have much money. It makes me feel very frustrated and sad. I want to buy everyone I love something nice, but I won't be able to. Unless I start turning tricks or something... lol!

Well Christmas isn't about the gifts.. you should focus on it's true meaning and enjoy the time with your loved one's. That's what it means to me. I love the "spirit " of Christmas. If you must do the gift thing.. draw names and buy just one good gift for a family member and any kids you might have. that's what my family does and it really helps the wallet. :)
