Diversity is a word. It has a definition and that's what it is. Beyond that it becomes what people make it. If you are referring to racial diversity or ethnic diversity, it is what it is by definition. A method for discrimination against certain classes of people because they don't fit into the 'diversity' model. In other words, a method of selection criteria independent of the things that should really be important for the job, college, or other area requiring an application such as qualifications, experience, certifications and degrees.
