1. Where has Dr Kovach at and Why?
2. Previous ep something is mentioned about Abby being an alchoholic. Since When? Did I miss something? I don't remember any prev eps that alluded to that.

1. Dr. Kovach is in Croatia helping his father. In last week's episode when it showed him talking to Abby he said that they were trying to fix the house up to make it more accessible to the father with ramps and such. Abby was not happy that he wasn't coming home yet.
2. Abby has had a problem with alcoholism. More mention of it was made back around Season 10 or 11, about the time that her mom's mental health problem got very severe.

Doctor Kovach went back to Crotia to help his father. I think his dad had a stroke. Yes Abby is an alcoholic, I think it has been out in the open for about 3 or 4 seasons. She has been sober since well before she got pregnant with Joe.

abby was a longtime alcoholic because of her family (mostly because of her mom played by actress sally field) and she was even married to a man and had an abortion too..
She was alcoholic when she and carter got together and carter convinced her to go to rehab which she did i think
