54 secs is nothing to sneeze at. I'd say your out of the loser category. Just, don't do it on your little brother's brand new cube the first day he has it, when you've never seen one before either. I did that. . . it wasn't a good thing. I repent. ;-) (at least I had to after he ran crying to mom and she yelled at me for being smarter than he was)

My goodness!!! That's impressive.
I solved one for my cousin Jo-Anne back in 1982.
I used a manual and took 2 days.
Not 2 whole days! I'm not brain dead! lol
Maybe you should consider a career in mechanical design?
You obviously have a gift for spacial relationships, and you relate well with objects. Seems maybe a good match.

Haha, i wish i could. When i was like 8 i took all the stickers off and put them on in the right color order and everyone thought i solved it lol. There was this kid doing reallly fast at lunch today and hes like a genius. Is there some secret code to do it?

The only time that I ever "solved" it was when I pulled the stickers and put them back on with all the colors together!! Somebody said that was cheating but I was a kid and it worked for me!! Yay Me!!

I've solved it, but it was a long time ago. I can't turn the faces that fast to do it in under 5 minuets or so.
