She is often mentioned on political programs and treated as a political figure. She seems to draw a lot of negative attention especially from Republicans.
Is she really that influential?

I think she does (to a certain extent) - I remember the day she & Elizabeth got into that little argument (you know the one - right before she left the show) Rush dedicated the entire 1st hour of his radio show to the incident - as did Hannity. Clearly they modified their programming - for the sole purpose of discussing Rosie..

If she was so irrelevant - why would they even care what she said if she was just some liberal wack-o??

Anybody who's regularly on TV for more than 15 seconds at a time can exercise some influence over the public, yes.

But, no she's not that important a figure, she's just echoing a party line, not providing any sort of leadership. That is, she's re-inforcing the beliefs of those who's minds are already long since made up, not changing anyone's opinions or challenging anyone to think about the issues.

I haven't heard a thing from Rosie O'Donnell ever since she left The View. Rosie O'Donnell has no political influence, she is just an ignorant ape. Sorry to be so rude but she has no idea what she is talking about all the time. She is a pessimist who won't look at any good things (sounds like FOX NEWS but it is true )

She's the butt of a lot of jokes and is singled out for derision since she often supplies the material herself. Other than that I'd say she has 0 influence on the Democrats, Republicans, UFO Party, Big Foot Party...

Yeah....i'm certain it is why she's doing it!@#$%^&* in case you believe you studied the coach at the same time as her and her co-host (i do not understand her call) were given into the wrestle....Rosie reported on the very begining of the coach, she changed into going to keep her mouth close. She changed into no longer going to "get into it" which includes her, because day after today the papers will study "huge, undesirable, dike Rosie is finding out on on poor little ________!" (sorry do not understand the chicks call) and he or she went on and on and on and ultimately ......Rosie commented back. and certain as sh** the papers the subsequent day basicly study...."huge, undesirable, dike Rosie receives in wrestle with little innocuous blond co-host." maximum of that's "media hype"....No, she's no longer huge pretend.

I'm not a Republican, however I think she's far less influential than Rush. The only people who take her seriously are Republicans.

No. Most folks with an IQ above single digits are totally aware of how ignorant she is and don't even give her a second thought. I think she gives Republicans the opportunity to show just how screwed up the left is by airing her comments.
