The speed sensor for a 2WD is located on the end of the trans. and the sensor for a 4WD is located on the end of the transfer case. To disconnect, just gently pry up the lock connector on it with your finger and slide it out.

Nissan, Ford, Chevy and Toyota. all of their small pickup trucks are about the same size. If you want a winter vehicle a pickup truck is one of the absoulte worst for driving in snow and ice. That light rear end with an open bed will not get traction at all on the ice and snow. You'll need to put about 200 lbs of sandbags in the bed of a pickup truck to get any real traction in the snow.

If your disconnecting it to replace it, it's located on the transmission about mid to rear of the transmission. if your looking to disconnect it so your not logging mileage, most cars will toss out a check engine light and many will not run. there should be a single bolt the holds the sensor in place. remove the wire connector, remove the bolt, the sensor can then be removed from the transmission. It should be reinstalled prior to moving the vehicle as transmission fluid will escape out of the hold where the sensor is located.
