That would depend on my state of homelessness. I might be right up there on top of the list and in full flight as a "hobo" and feel right at home with the definition. But I also like "informal settler" too. I mean... I can talk some kind of economic lingo too and totally feel good with that because it is mostly true most of the time... too.
As an individual I can feel good considering my roof to be none less than the dark deep night sky with all its stars. I migrate like a bird that goes south to be closer to the warmer climates.
I don't expect that a hobo will settle long enough to even be called an informal settler.

I prefer to be straight up about it. Hobo gets the message thru clearly, informal settler is like.. ???. does anyone even use that term? Sides, Hobo will probably earn more sympathy and hence more alms :D

i think hobos have to put all of their belongings in a bandana held by a stick. therefore, i choose informal settler.
