I dont have any acting experience, because my mom doesn't allow me to take theatre at school because she says its a waste of a class. Although, i really would like to get into acting, how do i do that with no experience?

you're going to have to be good looking and you're going to have to be the specific kind of good-looking that they'd want for that project. without acting experience, most actors start off as models and then progress from there (e.g. cameron diaz).

if this isn't you. you're better off starting small, say, community theater and school plays and the such. it's definitely not going to be glamorous, but it's work not an instant ticket to stardom.

otherwise, you really do need instruction (in some way, shape or form and while you're at it probably also some skill at singing and dancing). and i disagree with what your mom says. in addition to a getting an appreciation for the arts, it also teaches diction and public speaking and while this isn't strictly scholastic, both are valuable skills in selling yourself to future employers as well as good for building self-esteem and confidence. i personally don't think you sold it well enough.

well good luck out there and i hope this helped.

acting it not a waste of a class, this is not your mothers education she should let you choose because its you who has to study it,but because you are not aloud to take it at school, maybe your school has a drama club after school,or maybe where you live there is a theater group

but you will not get straight into a show or movie just like that, lots of people audition and they look for someone that really fits the part, acting can be a tough industry because you may not have work for long periods of time or you get turned down alot

you need to preform in school plays which you may be able to get into through your drama club ( if it is a after school activity which is ran by the school)

maybe even your local theater when you have some experience you could audition to be in a show

good luck

Since your mom is agains acting, you have no chance of doing it because your parents would have to sign all the contracts due to labor laws. You are not going to audition for a movie, so forget about it until you are 18 and on your own when you can be in some plays and take some acting classes. Tough luck, kid,

You can't with no experience. Join a community theatre thing or theatre school and attempt to persuade your mum that theatre is not a waste. Or just take it and don't tell her.
I was told that property is location, location, location and acting is experience, experience, experience. Good luck.

Depends what kind... If you live in a city, or large town, you should have a community theatre program with open auditions, I suggest googling the name of your town + theatre.
Movies are a lot harder...

Get into a youth drama group outside school, or a drama workshop..........you need experience, no-one would hire you straight off the street.
