If tomorrow is within about a day or so of when your period begins and you are taking a standard combination pill (as opposed to the mini-pill) you are protected right away, although it's still wise to stay on condoms for the first week, in case you end up having bad side effects and wishing to stop taking the pill. Otherwise, about a week. The pills will have a big sheet of instructions folded up in the packet that contains the correct information for your particular brand. Read them... if more women did this, there'd be a lot less questions on yahoo answers.

As far as how will you know? You won't. Being medically infertile and being fertile feel really exactly the same. It's sort of a leap of faith. Hence, use condoms for this encounter.

Sad to say they are not fully effective and guaranteed 99.9 % if taken correctly for three months. That is how long it usually takes the Progestin which is the primary hormone that ceases ovulation in the pill to become effective. So you better have some condoms handy. Yes you would become pregnant if you don't use a secondary form of birth control and you happen to be ovulating at that particular moment. Remember 10 minutes of pleasure is not worth the rest of your life!

why are you buying Magnums? they are usually for the abnormally large male...unless that is what he specified :) If he didn't I would buy Trojans or lifestyles. Anyway if you are going in 5 days and you start tomorrow, that should be plenty enough time for the pill to enter your bloodstream.

They take effect once they get into the bloodstream. It should be in the first couple days. You'll be ok if your going to see him in 5 days. Just remember they are no 100% effective, you have to use other protection too.

Between 10 days and 2 weeks
Any earlier and the hormone will not have built up in your system enough to protect you from pregnancy
