I don't think it's overhyped. The winner will have the tiebreaker for the playoff homefield advantage. Right now, both teams control their own destiny. If you believe the Pats can win a playoff game in Foxborough, and the Colts can win a playoff game in Indy, then the loser of this game will no longer contron their own destiny. So this game is huge. The AFC champion will probably win the superbowl. The team that has homefield advantage in the playoffs will probably win the AFC championship. So, this game could easily determine the superbowl winner. It's NOT overhyped, it's huge.
The Pats will destroy the Colts, and win the superbowl.

I don't think that this game is over hyped, It's just that football fans haven't really seen a match up of this magnitude in a while and it gets everyone excited. Sure the Pats and Colts played before, but not when both team's offense and defense are in this good. Even if i was like a Cowboys fan or a Packers fan, which their teams are doing very well, I would be insane to miss this game.Although I'm a Pats fan and I want them to win, this is by far the toughest test they have to face and I will watch this game to the end no matter what the score is.

No, this is not overhyped. This is a rivalry that started in 2001 and has not stopped. These teams are championship caliber teams. Tom Brady looks to overtake Manning's touchdown passes record and become the first to surpass the 50 touchdown mark as a QB. Manning has not lost a step since guiding the Colts to their second Superbowl win. Think about it, two high powered offenses with two premier quarterbacks, that is must see football. I might be a Raiders fan, but I would be hard pressed not to want to have this game on CBS shown instead of the Raiders/Texans game. Either way, I win.

My opinion no. It is good for NFL. It is good for a possible rematch in the playoffs. It is not easy to win 7 to 8 games in a row, when there are only 9 to 8 games left. The season is halfway over, and both teams are unstopable. When considering the NCAAF, it happens all the time because of the amount of teams in the divisions. If you do the math and more research, it is very unlikely that 2 teams, undefeated, so late in the season, are likely to meat at this point in the season. Plus there is a huge rivalry between the 2 teams (They met in the AFC championship last year). It is a 3 time winner of Superbowls vs a team that should always make it but only finally did last season. There are too many reasons why this is a major game. I remember the match in 2004, and it was huge for me. Sunday is incomparable. p.s. No one should hate Payton because he's a ..... what is that... cutie? ..... weird.

The hype is a little excessive, but you have to remember that Sunday's game is, legitimately, the biggest regular season match-up since 1985, and the latest in the regular season that 2 undefeated teams have met since the 1920s.
So yeah, at least some of the hype is warranted. Its going to be a letdown for everyone except Patriots fans though. You won't be getting an exciting game, you'll just keep hearing the announcers saying: "Touchdown New England!"

This is totally over-hyped....almost as much as the Pats v/s Cowboys game.
I agree with you - either team can win and I'm sure it'll be a fight to the finish.
And by the way - I don't think that their undefeated record is making people dislike the Pats more and more this season. I think the fact they were caught cheating makes people dislike them. And now that they seem to be having this "charmed" season - well - it's not exactly helping them gain a larger following.

You know, even I am growing tired of hearing everybody talk about how unstoppable the Patriots are. I just want to get this game over with and move on so everyone will stop talking about the Colts and Patriots. Funny thing though is the fact that whomever wins is going to be talked about non stop for the rest of the season, where as the loser will slowly but surely drop off the radar.

I could argue that the winner of this game (and a potential playoff game between the two) could decide which team is the greatest in football history.
I know it sounds a bit overboard but if you really think about it. It is very difficult to name one team in history decisivly better than the 2007 Colts or Patriots

It is very overhyped. Yes both teams are undefeated, but in the end, it is still only the regular season. Wait till the playoffs before making this game bigger than it actually is.
