Some homebaked Christmas cookies would be a thoughtful gift for your nephew. Not many ppl bake nowadays. Also, tell him that ppl at yahoo answers thank him for serving our country. If you want to give him some gift cards (I won't name any stores or restaurants), just yahoo the name of the restaurant/store and see if they have a location near his town.

I am so glad your nephew will be home for X-mas and I hope he doesn't have to go back over seas....As far as a gift, give him something that has absolutely Nothing to do with the military.
Give him something of home...Not knowing him, his likes or dislikes I cant suggest anything specific.
But do me a favor and give him my thanks for all he has done:-)

If he's be going back to Iraq, perhaps a short wave radio could be useful (they aint cheap though...prolly 100 clicks).
If he aint going back to hell, you can get him a gift cert. for massage and body treatment.

Toilet paper and junk food

I also hear that they really want chapstick, underpants, and such.

If he'll be home... get him a nice MP3 player- like an iPod with video on it...

Get him cans of silly string.
Not only do they have fun squirting each other, but they also use it to check for bomb trip wires.
