Welp, Ovechkin scored 1 goal in the playoffs this year, Crosby has had 3 so far. Ovechkin scored as many goals as Crosby in the regular season, yet Crosby played in 12 less games than he did. Crosby has a Stanley Cup under his belt...Ovechkin not so much. I know decoration isn't always the best indicator but it really is here for the most part. I'll give Ovechkin credit that he is still a very good player, but he is not near Crosby.

Alternative to what?
"Sid the Kid" is the most used one, I think.
"Darryl" was a nickname he got in juniors.
"The Next One" came from the media, I believe. (You'll never catch me using that and being serious.)
I've heard nonfans AND fans call him "Bing". (Actually, I like that one and use it.)
I say everyone calls him "MVP Sid" now. I know it's lame, but at least it's pretty accurate because he DID win the Hart and the Pearson last season... Pens fans have started chanting "MVP" already. Premature? Definitely. It was great to hear that being chanted in the Washington Capitals' arena though.
(By the way, you're definitely not the first to say "crybaby". So no points for you in the originality department.)
ADD: Oh no, 2 thumbs down. Lol. Hey, I'm a fan of Crosby and I can still be a good sport when people make fun of him. Why can't you?
