Hi,

Re-write into exponential form as

1 - x = 10^-1

1 - x = 1/10

1 = 1/10 + x
9/10 = x

Take log as log to base ten.
(1 - x) = 10^(-1)
1 - x = 1 / 10
x = 9 /10
