If the city is close to the equator, that place is warmer right? And if the city is further away from the equator, that place is colder right??

Yeah, that's true. However a place located in or near the equator but on a high altitude are usually cold places (take for example, Mt. Kenya and Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa with their snow-capped peaks).

yup...just take a look at places further from the equator..because the sun does not directly hit there it is collder like antartica but if u r talking bout places like ..Kenya its warmer because of more direct Sunlight.

Yes, but places in the mountains will be cooler than places down low, even though they are the same
distance from the equator.
(Just though I'd complicate your life a bit). : )
