Cale Hulse. His size and physical play made him a 4-6 defenseman in pre-lockout days. Unfortunately, "Chopper" did not possess the skating ability to keep up with the pace of the new game.

Another guy who fell to the rule changes was Dan McGillis, also a defenseman. NJ paid gave him a handsome free agent deal but, again, skating ability exposed McGillis and resulted in a demotion to the AHL.

John LeClair bombed here in Pittsburgh after the lock-out. It was sad. Darrian Hatcher is still playing though I think an argument could be made that he hasn't made it since hockey came back.

Darren McCarty went down hill after the lockout. Shame the flames took him from Detroit.

Stephen Peat and Jason Doig. Not exactly name players but Peat seemed to have an enforcer career going until they changed the rules making it mandatory that you have to be able to actually play hockey.

I remember Patrick Lalime struggling big time so Ottawa dropped him, then he went to go play for his country. And now hes back and i guess hes doing decent
