cross multiply

10(3n-2)=35
30n - 20 = 35
30n = 55
n = 55/30=11/6

You need to time each side diagonally

So (3n-2)*(10) = (5)*(7)

Then perform multiplication:

30n - 20 = 35

You need to get n by itself so add 20:
30n = 55

Divide by 30

n = 55/30

Reduce by common denominator which is 5.

n= 11/6

If you substitute that answer back in the equation you will get the same answer as 7/10 so we can confirm that that is the correct answer.
