Pregnancy occurs within 72 hours after ovulation. If you do not conceive within that time period, you have to wait until your next cycle. A female ovulates 1/2 the way between the day she starts her period and the next time she starts her period, so its good to have sex at least 3 or 4 times during that 72 hr period of time.
If you are having messed up periods, you better go to the doctor and find out why. Then start from scratch.
Also, your not the only one playing a part in this. Your husband needs to abstain from ejaculating for a couple of days before you have intercourse with the intention of pregnancy, so his sperm is rich with swimmers. Also, it helps if you orgasm during the time he is ejaculating because the uterus dips down and sucks up his sperm. Its not totally necessary, but it helps.
Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Have you tried a basal thermometer? they have them at pharmacies. Also.. the have the ovulation tests by Clear Blue Easy there to.
The basal thermometer includes a chart w/ the box and directions. You take your temp (orally!!) every day and when your temp drops (usually just a few points) then spikes (goes up a few more) your ovulating. Worked great for my first child. He's 15 now. Also!!! after intercourse...lie there. Don't get up ..lay there, preferably w/ a pillow under your backside to raise the pelvis...keeps the sperm in and gives it more of a chance. Worst case scenario.. hubby, boyfriend, whoever, goes in for a sperm test. Never hurts.

I never could have kids, but I talked to this lady some time back, she had a son about 10 years
old, she did'nt think she could have any more kids
I think her doc even told her she could'nt. anyway
she said that she had gone back to school and was burning the candle at both ends so she started taking vitamins, drinking energy drinks, all
the things that she thought would give her more stamina to get thru the day, it was not long after that she got pregnant. She said she did'nt know if
that made a difference or not. But it would'nt hurt to try, but be careful and drink those energy drinks
responsiblely I would'nt want them to harm you. I wish you the best of luck.

Wait. October 10th then October 1st? Uh.... do you mean November 1st? That's a little confusing. You could use an ovulation calculator but that probably wouldn't be much help since your periods aren't very regular right now. Talk to your doctor about ways of making your period more regular.

Most women ovulate 7 days after the LAST day of their period. During ovulation, you're super likely to get pregnant as opposed to any other time of the month. If you have sex on the DAY of ovulation, you're more likely to have a boy. If you have sex a day or two BEFORE ovulation, you're more likely to have a girl.
Also, you can buy a fertility monitor! They work like a charm.(http://www.clearblueeasy.com/)
hope this helps! and good luck. :D

Usually a women ovulates between 12 to 17 days counting from the first day their period starts. Try getting an ovulation kit from your pharmacy that will help the best ..then you'll know when your ovulating...and that's the best time to get pregnant.

Usually around 2 weeks after your period when you are ovulating there is a discharge a bit like egg white. That is when you will conceive. You can also tell by taking your temperature throughout the month. I can't remember if it is when you are at your highest or lowest temp though. There are also ovulation test kits at the supermarket and chemists you can try.

What helped me was getting some ovulation strip tests. You can buy them really cheap online. I think saveontests.com is a place that has them.
Chart your cycle and find out when you ovulate. That will give you a great idea of when to start trying to have sex the next month (ahead of time) or that day when the strip shows you're ovulating.
Good luck.

Just have sex everyday:) if your period is all over the place and you can't pinpoint the days your ovulating my advice to you and your hubby is to do it everyday and everynight for a whole month:) I'm sure your hubby won't object to getting sex everyday:) if you still don't become pregnant after a whole month of bonking non-stop then go and see a doctor and have some fertility testing done.
Goodluck
