Because the U.S. government is in bed with big business. And big business benefits from cheap labor from China. They send raw materials from the U.S. all the way to China to make their junk and then send it back to us. Isn't that crazy? Those materials could be used here to keep Americans in decent paying jobs.

This situation is akin to the different subject concerns of China claiming territory next to different countries in accordance with spurious claims of a few fishing map from 500 years in the past exhibiting up of their nationwide documents. Japan has had persisted possession of those islands for what appears like a hundred and forty years. China did no longer "come across" that it replaced into the rightful proprietor until eventually a hundred years later. Likewise China is pulling the comparable interest against all of its different pals in the aptly names "South China Sea." by using utilizing piles in the shallows and pouring cement onto shoals and reefs and calling them islands and then deeming them territory. and then stressful sovereignty over their neighboring united states's territorial waters or meanwhile to get some ongoing lease or repayment for his or her ongoing shame and humiliation. that's no better than a pretense for taking imaginary offense with a view to act by way of fact the very actual aggressor.

Since the US corporations have undermined US labor by outsourcing so much work, they have to tolerate the quality of work from other countries. As it turns out, the corporations are good at outsourcing but not at quality control. So bad at it are they that they have issued numerous apologies to China for letting the US media act as if it had been China's fault. I bought a baseball bat made in America. Broke on the first ball I hit. Bought a fishing pole made in America. I could cast but not reel in. I bought spinach grown and harvested in America. I was sick for a week. I'll buy Chinese, thanks.

China is tied to us in more ways than just delivering cheap tainted goods. They also have invested greatly in our war debt, by buying government bonds that yield appoximately 4% return. They have invested billion if not trillions of dollars in our government bonds. We (our government) have to pay the interest on those.

Globalization. Get in or get passed. China is much too large of an economic power to not be involved with if we want to keep our economic status in the world.

Because our government owes them a ton of money and if we stopped they'd want to collect that money, which we don't have.
