I am 20 yrs old & two semesters away from earning a BS Degree in Human Development & Family Studies. I work part time for a huge oil company in the Health Environment Safety & Security Department. My goal was to work as a Junior College teacher or as a Councelor at a school. However, recently I was informed of the income of Human Resource Mangers and since I am already in and experienced with a great company, I am considering going in that direction instead. What I am wondering is if my Human Development Degree will make me eligible for working towards a Masters Degree in Human Resources, and if I would still be able to teach or counsel if I choose this route. I really enjoy where I work and the income of a Junior College teacher and/or Counselor are both around 60-80 grand, where as the HR people at my work are earning 120-150 a year. What should I do??

I would love to teach online, but for the most part when you do that you are expected to have a certain amount of hours of classes on campus. I also was thinking about maybe getting into HR at a community college and teaching as well as doing HR. Im not sure though. I just not want to get my Masters in HR and be stuck doing that if I dont like it.

HR Mngt and HR Development master's programs most often don't require a specific undergraduate major. These programs are often only taught at the graduate level.

If you want to teach at the CC level then make sure you get 18 grad hours in the subject you want to teach.

Becoming a counselor is an entirely different path and you can enter that with your BS as well.

Have you considered teaching on line classes. No class time required and all you need is any Masters degree and the correct number of credits for the core class you wish to teach. I am not sure how many they require. You could keep your job and work as an online instructor. It's a thought. But because you are young you may want to go ahead and set yourself up with both degrees then if you want to later on for retirement sake start teaching. Education doesn't pay great at any level but the retirement benifits are pretty good.

it is an basic one. If the worldwide gets too warm, we've shown that we are able to proceed to exist it because of the fact the "Cradles of Civilization" have been in warm, dry aspects. If the worldwide gets chilly, then we've already shown that we are able to stand up to ice a protracted time, and that's devoid of any "intense" technologies. If the worldwide gets overpopulated, it extremely is going to, out of necessity, stability itself out. i do no longer think of we would desire to rigidity approximately surviving the subsequent a hundred years. the real question is a thank you to we save the subsequent a hundred years from starting to be the subsequent darkish Age.
