Okay, so I'm 46 and my wife is 23. When we got married she was 19 and a virgin. We started dating when she was 16 which was her junior year of college (she was really smart and got to graduate High School when she was 14, no joke, and NO she isn't a dork).
As I was saying, she was 16 when we started dating, and I was 39 I think. We NEVER had sex until she was 19, on our wedding night. I was her first time. But when we were dating, we did kiss and make out, but no one saw us. She and I never approved of PDA (public display of affection). And the years we were dating, we've never seen each other naked. When we were dating, we did sleep in the same bed on a few times, but no sex or nudity or any sexual activity. So, was our relationship and stuff illegal? Any ideas. All feedback is appreciated. Thanks guys.

NO, it was not illegal b/c you did not have any sexual relations. Kissing & making out does not count. And...it doesn't matter now anyway, she's 23 & your 46. So big age difference but as long as your both happy & in love is all that matters. Leave the past.....in the past.

Depends where you live. In the USA in the majority of states the age of consent is 16. But I'm not going to lie, I find it repugnant that you at 39 years old started dating a 16 year old. Just because you can date someone that young doesn't mean you should.

It doesn't sound illegal. Of course, if it were my daughter, I'd find some way to put you in jail. Nothing against you personally, I'd just be listening to my fatherly instincts that say MY 16 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IS NOT GOING TO DATE A 39 YEAR OLD MAN. Again, nothing personal.

i think it depends on where you two live mate.
here in australia its not illegal.

Here, you can date and sleep with 16 year olds if you like (i know you didn't). it's the under 16s that are illegal.

I only have one thing to say. She's over 21 therefore she is a grown woman.

If she loves you unconditionally and she is your WIFE then
you have nothing to worry about.

I understand you are nervous about the age thing but, you know what? You can't control who you fall in love with, only what you do about it and you did well.

Bless you and your marriage sweetie.

Well...bless you both for your control....and I do believe it really depends upon where you live about the age of consent..but at this point since you are married...I really don't think the past matters at this point...I wish you both the best in life.....

Nothing is illegal unless you get caught!!! If you had been caught you probably would have been fighting to keep you *** virginal in prison!!

You beat the odds, be happy

If all you are saying is true, there is no issue. Statutory rape is only if there is SEX or sex acts involved.

Good for both of you for waiting.

Some states would have child molestation or annoyance of a child statutes but WHY do you care now?
