Freedom. Freedom is what triggered all of the violence. There was no outward violence before the U.S. lead invasion. But that should not be misconstrued in any way shape or form as "peace." It was quiet before the invasion because of absolute fear.
Addendum:
Folks, I was referring to Saddam's dictatorship. If I spoke the truth and told you to look it up in the book of Genesis (the origin of these people), I'd be labelled as politically incorrect.

The 2003 invasion of Iraq by the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Poland, and Denmark (other countries were also involved in its aftermath) began officially on March 20, 2003. The invasion launched the Iraq War, which is still ongoing.

The official reason for the invasion was the claim, now proven unfounded, that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons, which constituted a threat to world peace....

There is no such violence you speak of.

There are 30,000,000 people there. You must expect some gang like activity. Mob activity.

Nothing near genocide.

With 130,000 soldiers there we can only find 15 bad guys a day to kill.

As long as we arm all famalies households with atleast 1 weapon enough for each father, we can leave immediately and things will work beautifully.

Its unarmed neighborhoods which face danger.

Doc!!! What are you smoking? The violence has been going on there for over a thousand years. The middle east has always been a hotbed of religious anarchy. Don't you believe that hussein killed hundreds of thousands of his own people? What about all the mass graves and witness testimony from the Kurds detailing his chemical extermination of multiple villages, men women and children just snuffed out.
