Not sure, never tried it. (What I mean is that I'm not sure that every piece will come apart, I bet at least some will stay together.) And yeah, they pretty much are. My brother and I tried to melt one by putting it in the burn trash just to see how long it would take to melt. (My dad was making us get rid of them anyway because he was always stepping on them.) It took about two hours to turn into a pile of unrecognizable melted plastic. o_O Those suckers are pretty much indestructible.

i used to build a house and then build "bombs" with other legos, and then throw the "bomb" legos at the house, one or the other would explode... but i also made a rubber band "motor" with legos, and I did not crush it
